About The Role
Knox Grammar School is seeking an experienced and passionate Head Coach - Senior Weights & Training (SWAT) to lead the development of our senior student strength and conditioning program. The Head Coach SWAT will be appointed on a casual basis during school term‐time and is required to work at least 20 hours between Monday to Saturday during term‐time. Hours of work will be between 2:00pm-5:00pm Monday – Friday and Saturday between 7:00am – 1:00pm.
How You'll Make an Impact
Designing, programming and delivering high‐quality strength and conditioning sessions
Creating safe, engaging and progressive training environments for students of varying abilities
Coaching gym etiquette, movement competency and safe lifting practices
Supporting broader athletic development programs across the School, including Rugby, Mountain Biking, KnoxFit and PDHPE programs
Monitoring student progress and fostering a positive culture of participation and achievement
Building strong relationships with students, parents and staff
Supporting program administration, attendance management, risk management and event coordination
Promoting the SWAT program across the Knox community
About You
You are a dynamic and enthusiastic coach who enjoys working with young people and helping them develop confidence through physical activity and performance training.
You will bring:
A degree in Exercise Science, Sport Science or a related discipline (or currently studying)
Experience delivering strength and conditioning or athletic development programs
Experience coaching adolescents,



ideally within a school environment
Previous coaching experience in gym‐based or sporting settings
Strong communication and relationship‐building skills
The ability to lead large group training sessions effectively
Current Senior First Aid and CPR certification
Certificate IV in Fitness and ASCA Level 1 Accreditation are desirable
