The opportunity
As a Maternal and Child Health Nurse, you'll play a vital rolein supporting families and children from birth through toschool age. Working within Hobsons Bay City Council's CommunityChild Health Service, you'll provide health promotion,developmental monitoring, early intervention, parentingsupport, and referrals to help children and families thrive.This rewarding role offers the opportunity to make a meaningfulimpact on community wellbeing while working within acollaborative and supportive team.
What you'll do
Provide maternal and child health services to families withchildren from birth to school age.
Contact families and arrange initial home visits andongoing appointments.
Assess child health and development, providing earlyintervention and referrals where needed.
Support parents with health, wellbeing, parenting guidance,and child development advice.
Maintain accurate records and contribute to the effectiveoperation of Maternal and Child Health Centres.
What you need to succeed
Qualification in Division 1 Nursing, Midwifery, and Child& Family Health Nursing.
Current AHPRA registration.
Experience delivering primary health services for childrenand families.
Robust knowledge of child development and Maternal &Child; Health programs.




Excellent communication skills and ability to workeffectively with diverse families and stakeholders.
Pre-Employment Requirements
Progressed candidates will be required to complete a NationalPolice Record Check, a Pre-Employment Medical Check, QualificationCheck and a Working With Children Check (WWCC). Candidates must also holda valid Victorian Driver's License.
Applicants must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident orhold a valid work permit or visa with full unrestricted workingrights. Work eligibility will be checked as part of the recruitmentprocess.
