About the role

The SMSF Accountant will manage SMSF client relationships, review financial statements and tax returns, and provide compliance oversight. This role is designed for a candidate who seeks to engage in strategic SMSF matters rather than traditional processing tasks.

Key responsibilities

Manage SMSF client relationships
n
Review SMSF financial statements and tax returns
n
Liaise with offshore SMSF resources
n
Manage client queries and coordinate information gathering
n
Liaise with auditors and manage audit queries
n
Assist with pension matters and contribution strategy discussions
n




Review compliance issues and support Partners on technical SMSF matters
n

Skills & experience
n
n
Proven experience in SMSF accounting with 3-8 years in public practice
n
Strong communication skills and client-facing capability
n
Ability to manage work independently and a positive attitude towards learning.
