Aspire Early Education & Kindergarten is looking for a reliable, enthusiastic and team-focused Assistant Chef to join our kitchen team at Rockbank Village.
n
Working alongside our Chef, you'll play an important role in preparing and serving nutritious, high-quality meals while helping maintain a secure, clean and well-organised kitchen environment.
n
About the Role
n
As an Assistant Chef, you will support the day-to-day operation of the kitchen and work closely with our Chef to ensure meals are prepared safely and to a high standard.
n
Your responsibilities will include:
n
n
Assisting with food preparation and meal service
n
Supporting the preparation of meals that cater to allergies and dietary requirements
n
Maintaining high standards of food safety, hygiene and cleanliness
n
Completing dishes, cleaning and general kitchen duties
n
Assisting with stock management and maintaining an organised kitchen
n
Supporting kitchen documentation, including allergy and dietary information, temperature checks, cleaning schedules and food safety records
n
Working collaboratively with the Chef and wider centre team to provide a positive mealtime experience for children
n

About You We're looking for someone who is:

Reliable, organised and able to manage their time effectively
n
Enthusiastic and willing to contribute as part of a team
n
Confident working in a busy kitchen environment
n




Committed to strong food safety and hygiene practices
n
Detail-oriented, particularly when managing allergies and dietary requirements
n
Passionate about providing nutritious and high-quality meals for young children
n
n
Experience working in an early childhood education setting, childcare kitchen or preparing meals for young children will be highly regarded.
