The Role

Manage end-to-end Australian payroll across approximately 850 employees
n
Process fortnightly payroll cycles alongside a small monthly payroll
n
Audit payroll data and reconcile outputs to ensure accuracy before finalisation
n
Investigate discrepancies and resolve complex payroll issues autonomously
n
Partner closely with Finance, Accounting and Tax stakeholders
n
Liaise with an external managed payroll provider throughout each pay cycle
n
Respond to payroll queries from employees, managers and senior stakeholders
n
Support payroll testing, process improvements and other payroll-related initiatives as required

About You
n
n
Minimum 3 years' hands-on end-to-end Australian payroll experience
n
Strong knowledge of payroll reconciliations, PAYG, superannuation, payroll tax and STP
n
Experience managing payroll within a medium to large employee population
n
Confident communication skills with the ability to explain payroll matters clearly to stakeholders
n

Highly regarded (but not essential)
n
n
Experience with ADP or another managed payroll service provider
n
Payroll transition experience or genuine Workday Payroll experience
n
n
