We are seeking a highly organised and experienced Medical Specialist Secretary to join our team at Dr Susan Morris' practice in Kew, Victoria. This full-time role is essential in providing administrative support to our team of medical specialists, ensuring the smooth running of our practice.

What you'll be doing

Manage the specialist's diary, scheduling and coordinating appointments with patients and other healthcare providers
n
Prepare and distribute correspondence, medical reports, and other documents on behalf of the specialist
n
Handle patient enquiries, provide information, and direct patients to appropriate resources
n
Assist with the organization and maintenance of the specialist's medical records and files
n
Liaise with other medical professionals, such as GPs, to coordinate patient care
n
Provide general administrative support to the specialist as required
n

What we're looking for
n

Minimum 3 years' experience as a medical secretary or in a similar administrative role within a healthcare setting
n




Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with patients, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders
n
Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and work under pressure
n
Proficient in using medical software, electronic medical records systems, and standard office software
n
Demonstrated understanding of medical terminology and practice procedures
n
Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality
