Suntex Investments is a Brisbane-based wholesale manufacturer located in Darra. We are seeking an experienced and reliable Bookkeeper / Accounts & Payroll Administrator to join our team and take responsibility for the day-to-day financial administration of the business. You will play an significant role in keeping our financial records accurate, organised and up to date while working closely with our management team and external accountants. The successful applicant will work alongside our existing team member during the initial period to ensure a comprehensive handover and smooth transition into the role.
Key responsibilities
Managing the day-to-day bookkeeping and transactional accounts
Accounts receivable and customer account management
Processing and maintaining supplier accounts
Payroll processing and administration, including superannuation
Preparing supplier payment batches through our banking platform for Managing Director approval
Maintaining accurate financial records and reconciliations
Data entry and processing using Xero and Fishbowl
Monitoring outstanding accounts and following up where required
Assisting with month-end processes and reporting
About you
Has solid previous experience in bookkeeping, accounts and payroll
Has strong practical experience using Xero
Is confident working with accounting systems and financial data




Has experience with Fishbowl or similar inventory/accounting software would be highly regarded
Understands payroll, superannuation, accounts receivable and supplier accounts
Has excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Is highly organised and able to manage competing priorities
Can work independently and take ownership of their responsibilities
Is trustworthy and understands the importance of confidentiality
Communicates well and enjoys working as part of a close-knit team
A comprehensive handover and training period

External accountants supporting year-end compliance
Potential to work from home 1-2 days per week once established in the role, subject to performance, the requirements of the position and business needs
