Our client is an established national professional services and advisory firm with a significant corporate finance capability across Australia. As part of the continued development of its Melbourne M&A; practice, an opportunity exists for an experienced
Manager or Senior Manager
to support the dedicated M&A; Partner and play a key role in the team's growth.
The Opportunity
Working closely with the Melbourne M&A; lead, the successful candidate will take a senior execution role across a strong pipeline of mid-market transactions, typically ranging from
$10 million to $150 million in enterprise value
.
The team advises business owners, corporates and private equity investors across acquisitions, divestments and strategic transactions, with current mandates spanning founder-led and private equity-backed businesses.
As a key senior member of the Melbourne practice, you will have considerable scope to take ownership of transactions, work directly with clients and develop junior team members.
Key responsibilities will include:
Managing M&A; transactions across the full deal lifecycle;
Financial analysis, valuation and transaction modelling;
Preparing and reviewing transaction materials;
Managing buyer engagement, due diligence and transaction workstreams;
Working directly with business owners, management teams and investors;
Managing and developing junior team members; and
Contributing to client development and the continued growth of the Melbourne M&A; practice.
Required Skills & Experience




We are seeking an experienced corporate finance professional with strong transaction fundamentals and the ability to independently drive deal execution.
The successful candidate will ideally bring:
Experience within M&A; / lead advisory, corporate finance or a related transaction environment;
Exposure to end-to-end M&A; transactions;
Strong financial modelling, valuation and analytical capability;
Sound understanding of transaction processes and due diligence;
Strong written and interpersonal communication skills;
Experience managing or developing junior professionals; and
A proactive, commercially minded approach with the confidence to take ownership.
Full Australian working rights, with no requirement for current or future visa sponsorship.
Candidates may currently be working within a
Big Four, mid-tier or boutique corporate finance team
. We would also welcome discussions with Transaction Services professionals with broader M&A; exposure or corporate development professionals with a strong prior advisory background.
