Archon are seeking an experienced Senior Storage Administrator to join a complex enterprise ICT environment supporting critical infrastructure and platform services. As part of our rapidly growing team, you will play a key role in supporting our government client.
In this role, you will provide specialist expertise and technical advice across a broad range of infrastructure platforms. You will contribute to system improvements and support the transition to a new operating model, while ensuring the stability, availability and performance of both Non-Production and Production environments.
Working under limited supervision, you will manage complex technical issues, support software releases, and develop and maintain a diverse range of infrastructure platforms and products. You may also provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior team members as required.

you will provide specialist expertise and technical advice across a broad range of infrastructure platforms. You will contribute to system improvements and support the transition to a new operating model, while ensuring the stability, availability and performance of both Non-Production and Production environments.
Working under limited supervision, you will manage complex technical issues, support software releases, and develop and maintain a diverse range of infrastructure platforms and products. You may also provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior team members as required.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Assist with the development, implementation and ongoing maintenance of a Linux Standard Operating Workplace (SOE) on a virtualised platform, including the migration of systems from legacy technologies.
Assist with the implementation and maintenance of monitoring solutions to manage and report on platform and service availability.
Investigate and respond to incidents affecting datacentres, server hardware, operating systems and associated infrastructure services.
Liaise with business stakeholders, technical teams and external vendors to minimise service impacts and achieve timely resolution of incidents and technical issues.
Collaborate with Database, Networks, Software Development and other technical teams, providing specialist support to achieve shared business objectives and meet delivery deadlines.
Support application and code deployments and releases across Non-Production and Production environments.
Provide operational support for NetApp storage systems.
Provide operational support for VMware and Nutanix Hyperconverged Infrastructure environments.
Support and maintain Disaster Recovery (DR) capabilities.
Provide operational support for Commvault backup and recovery systems, including offsite tertiary object storage.
Contribute to infrastructure improvements, platform reliability and the ongoing modernisation of the environment.
Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior team members where required.
