Provide high level, specialist early intervention / parenting and related clinical services for families and children, between 0-8 years and with complex clinical needs with the goal to improve the attachment relationship between caregivers and children. Clinical services are provided in line with the appropriate professional code of ethics and practice standards. The role is also responsible to provide advice and support to multidisciplinary Child Health team staff, and key stakeholders in Paediatrics on relevant early intervention and parenting issues, with a speciality in maternal mood, attachment, and enhanced parenting programs.

What we're looking for
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following:
Demonstrated high level of knowledge and expertise in the delivery of evidence-based assessments and parenting interventions for families with complex needs, with a focus on intervening with families of children aged 0-8 years.
Demonstrated competence in professional clinical practice and adherence to defined service standards and the management of complex patient/client care, whilst exercising a degree of independence and professional decision making, accessing clinical practice supervision and guidance as required.




Demonstrated commitment and leadership for active and ongoing professional development and supervision to meet appropriate professional requirements.
Demonstrated ability to adapt knowledge and skills to intervene with a complex caseload where clinical issues may be diverse or multi-layered.
Demonstrated effective written communication skills including psychosocial assessments, correspondence with service providers and clinical reports and the provision of practice within the medico legal requirements.
Demonstrated competence in communication, negotiation, consultation, advocacy and interpersonal skills to be independent in effective problem-solving including conflict resolution and to work cooperatively with other professionals and contribute positively in all interactions in the workplace at all levels.

Vaccinated against, and remain vaccinated against, certain vaccine preventable diseases (VPD) as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO. *****
Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and registration or membership (if applicable) with the appropriate registration authority or association.
For social workers - This role provides health, counselling and support services that may involve children will require a blue card.
