For nearly 60 years, we have supported Autistic people, families and carers while also driving change across systems, communities and organisations. We are home to Autism Connect, Australia's national autism information, advice and referral service, and deliver services, inclusion programs, advocacy and community initiatives that help create meaningful change.
As we continue to grow, we are expanding our Individual Autism Supports practice and are looking for a Psychologist who shares our commitment to neuroaffirming, person-led and accessible support.
About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing service and help shape how psychological supports are delivered at Amaze.
As a Psychologist within Individual Autism Supports, you will provide neuroaffirming psychological assessment, therapeutic support and consultation to Autistic people and other neurodivergent individuals across the lifespan.
This role is not about changing Autistic people to fit into a non-Autistic world.
Instead, you will work alongside individuals to support:
self-understanding and identity
wellbeing and mental health
life transitions
strengths, goals and support needs
access to meaningful opportunities, relationships and supports




You will deliver services through a combination of telehealth and in-person appointments and contribute to the ongoing development of a service model informed by contemporary evidence, community feedback and Autistic lived experience.

About You
We're looking for someone who:
Is registered as a Psychologist with AHPRA
Is eligible for or holds Medicare provider registration
Has experience supporting Autistic and/or neurodivergent people
Demonstrates a strong commitment to neuroaffirming practice
Understands strengths-based, trauma-informed and person-led approaches
Adapts communication and support to the sensory, communication and processing needs of individuals
Values collaboration, learning and reflective practice
Is excited about helping build and improve services over time
You may have experience in:
Autism assessment
Mental health
Disability services
Community health
Private practice
Child, youth and/or adult services
Neurodivergent-affirming therapeutic practice
Most importantly, you are committed to working alongside Autistic people in ways that respect identity, autonomy and individual goals.
