Our client, a leading organisation within the utilities sector, is seeking an experienced Senior SQL Developer to join their team on an initial 12-month contract. This is a hands‐on technical role suited to a robust SQL Developer who has extensive experience working with PostgreSQL and Oracle, combined with Tableau dashboard development and publishing.

PostgreSQL, Oracle & Tableau experience is essential

Key Responsibilities
n
n
Developing, maintaining and optimising complex PostgreSQL and Oracle SQL solutions.
n
Supporting the development and deployment of SQL code within enterprise environments.
n
Developing and maintaining Tableau dashboards, reports and visualisations.
n
Publishing and supporting Tableau dashboards used by business stakeholders.
n
Maintaining and enhancing the team's existing dashboard suite.
n
Translating business and analytics requirements into effective data solutions and use cases.
n
Troubleshooting SQL, data and reporting issues and improving performance where required.
n




Working collaboratively with analysts, data scientists and stakeholders across the business.
n
Contributing to development standards, documentation and ongoing improvements across the analytics environment.

Skills & Experience
n
n
Strong commercial experience as a Senior SQL Developer, Database Developer or Analytics Developer.
n
Advanced hands‐on experience with PostgreSQL.
n
Strong experience developing solutions using Oracle SQL.
n
Demonstrated experience developing, maintaining and optimising complex SQL queries, functions, procedures and database objects.
n
Strong Tableau dashboard development experience.
n
Experience publishing and supporting Tableau dashboards in an enterprise environment.
n
Strong SQL troubleshooting, performance tuning and optimisation capability.
n
Experience with Python would be beneficial but is not essential.
n
Experience working with business stakeholders to understand requirements and develop analytics solutions.
n
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a collaborative analytics team
