Florence Kindergarten Co Director/Part time Teacher

Florence Kindergarten is seeking a Co-Director/Part time Teacher to join the team. This is a part time contract position which could become an ongoing position, working Thursday, Friday and alternate Wednesday, commencing January ****. Florence Kindergarten is a well-established, not-for-profit community kindergarten affiliated with C&K; (The Creche & Kindergarten Association Ltd) with a strong reputation within the Margate community for providing high-quality early education and care.

Remuneration aligned with Florence Kindergarten Enterprise
AgreementQualifications
n
An ACECQA approved Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood) or an equivalent
n
n
Early Childhood Qualification
n
Current Registration with Queensland
n College of Teachers.
n Current Blue Card (Exemption Card)
n Working with Children Check
n Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma &
n Anaphylaxis training
n Completion of the national Child safety Training.
n
Current Mandatory Compliance Training (or willingness to complete) including:
n Child Protection
n Privacy
n Workplace Health and Safety
n Workplace Bullying
n Sexual Harassment in the Workplace
n Experience in a community kindergarten is highly valued
n
Our Ideal Candidate
n We are looking for a co director /teacher who:
n Has a passion for early childhood education and innovative, play based pedagogy.
n Has a sound knowledge of the Early Years
n
Has a passion for early childhood education and innovative, play based pedagogy.
n Has a sound knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF),



Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guideline (QKLG) and the National Quality Framework (NQF).
n Has a strong understanding and commitment to the Early Childhood
n Australia (ECA) code of ethics.
n Demonstrates an understanding of child protection laws, and, child secure practices.
n Can show a growth mindset with a dedication to ongoing professional learning and team-oriented team engagement.
n Demonstrates the ability to build respectful partnerships with families, children's and colleagues to support each child's wellbeing, learning, development and engagement in the program.
n Has an understanding of child development and learning theories
