Swick Mining Services, who is part of the global Perenti Group, is Australia's largest Underground Diamond Drilling Contractor with the most creative and reliable rigs in the industry operating Australia-wide as well as internationally.

The Role
n
Duties are (but not limited to) the following:
n
n
Daily pre-starts of yard support equipment (forklifts light vehicles etc)
n
Yard maintenance, including sweeping/weeding and general clean up duties
n
Emptying bins and ensuring waste management plans are adhered to
n
Weed management and some garden care
n
Assisting mechanical and electrical tradespersons when required
n
Assist the Site Coordinator in daily yard management duties and maintenance planning.
n
Operation of forklifts to organise yard layout and ensure cleanliness
n
Consistently maintain housekeeping at a high standard
n
Dressing parts and components prior to completion of jobs
n
Operating the wash bay as required
n
Ensure all machines are kept clean and tidy at all times
n
Washing and painting of floors as required
n
Delivery and collection of parts,



components and materials (Perth metro only)
n
Assist in the mobilisation of drilling equipment to and from remote sites
n
Operating hand tooling as required
n
n
The Candidate
n
The successful candidate will be required to meet the following criteria:
n
n
3-5 years previous experience in a similar role (yardperson, trades assistant etc.)
n
Current manual C Class (manual) Driver's License or higher
n
Forklift licence
n
Ability to pass a pre-employment medical including drug & alcohol screening
n
Ability to work with minimal supervision and within a team environment
n
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
n
Attention to detail and time management
n
n
Desirable:

Trade certificate
