The City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder is seeking a Human Resources Officer to join our People and Culture team. Reporting to the Coordinator People and Culture, you will provide responsive, accurate and professional HR support to a designated portfolio of business units, working closely with managers, employees and the broader People and Culture team.
About The Role n
n
Provide timely advice and support across a broad range of employment and People and Culture matters.
n
Interpret and apply the City's Enterprise Agreement, policies and procedures.
n
Coordinate recruitment activities for designated business units and support hiring managers throughout the recruitment process.
n
Participate in interviews and selection processes for key positions.
n
Coordinate employee onboarding, probation and exit processes.
n
Maintain employment-related registers, including visa and Working with Children Check requirements.
n
Prepare HR reporting and workforce analytics.
n
Assist with workplace grievances, complaints and employee relations matters.
n
Support relevant health and safety activities, including Drug and Alcohol testing where required.
n
Build solid and credible relationships with managers, employees and external stakeholders.
n
Represent the City at careers events and support initiatives aimed at developing future recruitment pipelines.
n
Contribute to the continuous improvement of People and Culture processes and practices.
n
About You n
n
Experience in Human Resources or a similar people-focused business support workplace.
n
A qualification in Human Resources, Employment Relations or a related discipline is preferred.
n
Sound knowledge of contemporary Human Resources functions and practices.
n
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to work effectively with a range of stakeholders.
n
The ability to establish credible and collaborative working relationships.
n
Strong organisational and administrative skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
n
Initiative,
sound judgement and a practical approach to problem solving.
n
A high level of professionalism, discretion and commitment to confidentiality.
n
Strong attention to detail and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
n
n
You will also need to hold a current satisfactory National Police Clearance and a current WA 'C' Class driver's licence.
