High Intensity Support Workers – Mental Health and Complex Care
Depending on each participant's individual needs, your responsibilities may include:
Providing one-to-one, two-to-one or group-based support
Supporting participants with complex mental health needs
Implementing behaviour support and risk-management strategies
Using trauma-informed approaches and de-escalation techniques
Following individual support plans, behaviour support plans and clinical instructions
Supporting community participation, appointments and daily activities
Administering medication within your training and scope of practice
Communicating effectively with participants, families, clinical teams and other professionals
Responding calmly and professionally to challenging or unexpected situations
Potential to travel to participants within the surrounding communities including Yass.

Mental health and psychosocial disability

Medication assistance or administration
Manual handling and mobility support
Epilepsy and seizure management
Diabetes management
Enteral feeding

Previous experience providing active overnight or sleepover support
