Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Cloud Architect to lead the design and implementation of a secure, scalable AWS landing zone as part of a broader hybrid and multi-cloud strategy for a large government body.

This is a senior, hands-on role for someone who has personally delivered enterprise AWS multi-account landing zones-not just provided high-level architecture advice.

Key activities
n

Own the end-to-end AWS landing zone architecture and implementation roadmap
n
Design the AWS Organizations, Control Tower, account and organisational unit structure
n
Establish automated account provisioning and workload onboarding
n
Define identity, networking, security, logging and monitoring patterns
n
Develop reusable Terraform modules and Git-based CI/CD practices
n
Embed governance, guardrails, policy-as-code and FinOps controls
n
Lead technical assurance and transition the platform into operations
n
Work closely with security, network, identity,



platform and delivery teams
n

Skills and experience
n
n
Significant recent AWS architecture and engineering experience
n
Personal leadership of at least two enterprise AWS landing zone implementations
n
Experience delivering within government, financial services, insurance, health or another regulated environment
n
Deep knowledge of AWS Organizations, Control Tower, account vending and service control policies
n
Solid Terraform, automation, Git and CI/CD capability
n
Advanced enterprise networking and cloud security knowledge
n
Strong stakeholder leadership and communication skills
n

AWS Solutions Architect - Professional certification and experience with Entra ID, SIEM platforms, Account Factory for Terraform, ISM, Essential Eight, VPDSF, ISO ***** or NIST CSF will be highly regarded.
