We are seeking a Town Planner to join ARC Planning in Caboolture, Queensland. This is a full-time position offering an exciting opportunity to contribute to urban development and planning initiatives.
As a Town Planner, you will play a crucial role in shaping communities and infrastructure development, working on projects that have a lasting impact on the regions we serve.
Key responsibilities
Reviewing and assessing planning applications and development proposals against relevant planning frameworks and regulations
Preparing planning reports, recommendations and expert advice on development projects
Liaising with stakeholders, including councils, developers, government agencies and the community
Conducting site inspections and undertaking on-ground assessments for planning considerations
Providing advice on zoning requirements, land use compatibility and compliance with planning instruments
Supporting the development of planning strategies that align with sustainable development principles
Maintaining knowledge of relevant planning legislation, policies and best practice methodologies
What we're looking for
Tertiary qualification in Town Planning, Urban Planning, Urban Design or a closely related discipline
Demonstrated experience in town planning practice, preferably in Queensland
Strong knowledge of planning legislation, including the Planning Act **** (Queensland) and relevant planning instruments
Proficiency in planning software and GIS applications
Excellent report writing and communication skills,



with the ability to communicate complex planning concepts clearly
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders and manage competing interests
Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality planning outcomes
