Job/Responsibilities
n
Council is currently seeking a Part Time Pound Officer.
n
This position will assist with the daily care and administration of companion animals (dogs and cats) and cleaning of the pound facility.
n
Duties will include but are not limited to:
n
n
Daily care and monitoring of companion animals
n
Cleaning of enclosures and pound facility
n
Assisting vets whilst they provide treatment to stray companion animals in Council's care if required
n
Maintaining and updating the communication and pound register.
n

To be successful in this position you will need to have:
n
n
Class C Drivers Licence
n
Previous experience working in animal care, control, cleaning or similar
n
Valuable communication and customer service skills
n
Ability to work with limited supervision and work weekends
n
Qualifications (or currently studying) animal handling/welfare are desirable
n
n
