You'll be the first point of contact for patients and referring doctors: often the calm, reassuring voice on the phone for someone who's anxious about a diagnosis or a procedure. Behind the scenes, you'll keep the practice running smoothly. Most of your work is done remotely from a supplied laptop, with 5 half-days at the Wesley Clinic rooms each fortnight - the rest is for working from home on a regular schedule within weekdays, 8:30am-4:00pm (with lunch break), $35-$45 per hour depending on experience. Available as one near-full-time position, or split across two part time roles.
Key responsibilities
Manage clinic bookings, procedure scheduling and theatre lists
Answer calls and respond to patient enquiries with care and professionalism
Coordinate referrals, correspondence and patient reminders
Process Medicare, DVA, private health fund and gap payments (Gentu/Eclipse)
Liaise with referring doctors, radiology, lung function and sleep study providers

Self-motivated and comfortable working independently at home,



without needing close long-term supervision
Strong administration background; medical admin experience desirable but not essential
High attention to detail and able to juggle competing priorities
Discreet, trustworthy and comfortable handling confidential information
Tech-savvy, proficient in MS Word/Excel; experience with Gentu/Eclipse a bonus
Calm under pressure and adaptable - while still a genuine team player when you're on-site
