Due to a recent acquisition there is an urgent requirement for an experienced Payroll Specialist to join the business.
You will be required to keep things running smoothly through the transition.
This isn't a "process and forget" payroll role.
You'll own superannuation processing, STP lodgement, payroll tax across multiple jurisdictions, and GL reconciliations — while working closely with Finance, P&C;, and external bodies like the ATO.
What you'll be doing:
Processing and reconciling superannuation payments and STP submissions
Preparing and lodging payroll tax returns across relevant states
Validating payroll GL reports and supporting balance sheet reconciliations
Reconciling payroll-to-finance system interfaces
Investigating and resolving payroll reporting discrepancies
Supporting month-end/year-end payroll accounting and process improvement

To be considered for this role you will have:
Solid knowledge of Australian payroll legislation (Super Guarantee, STP, payroll tax)
Hands-on experience with SAP HR/Payroll (or similar systems)
Solid GL and balance sheet reconciliation experience
Advanced Excel skills and a genuinely analytical mindset
Comfort interpreting awards and enterprise agreements
A relevant payroll or accounting qualification
