We currently have an prospect for aSpray Operatorto join our Hussey & Co family.
We are seeking someone who is resilient and able to adapt to a constantly evolving environment and had the ability to be flexible depending on operational demands.
High energy levels, personal resilience and the ability to think on your feet will be critical for success.
Reporting directly to the Crop Care Manager, this position requires the successful applicant to have knowledge and experience or willingness to learn in crop spraying.
Pay Rate:Dependant on experience - Hussey & Co pay above the Horticulture Award rates and overtime.
Key Responsibilities:
Operating tractors and spray equipment
Completing daily checks on all spray equipment
Maintain data and record systems
Maintaining company machinery
Reporting of any perceivable issues to the Crop Care Manager
Adhering to company OH&S; policies and procedures
Shift Work will be required depending on the season




Skills that would be beneficial / advantageous:
Tractor / spraying experience is an advantage
Current Chemical licence or willingness to obtain one
Experience in vegetable farming is an advantage
Mechanically minded
Have a strong work ethic
The ability to work autonomously or as part of a team
Have a hands-on approach to problem solving
Be computer iterate/ Tech Savvy
Have proficient English verbal and written communication skills
Willingness to work in all weather conditions
Hands-on, energetic and proactive
