Recruitment Consultant - Locum & Permanent Nursing

Sydney preferred | Hybrid working | Base salary ranging from $85,000 - $95,000 + competitive performance incentives

We're looking for an experienced Recruitment Consultant who knows the locum nursing market and wants to help build something exceptional.

The opportunity
n
You'll manage the full recruitment cycle, connecting qualified nurses with hospitals and aged care facilities across metropolitan, regional, rural and remote Australia.
n
Your portfolio will include:
n

Shift-by-shift metropolitan placements
n
Temporary hospital and aged care contracts
n
Regional, rural and remote placements
n
Permanent clinical placements
n
n
Alongside managing established business, you'll have the autonomy and support to develop new client relationships, enter current markets and potentially build a permanent clinical recruitment desk.
n
What you'll be doing
n
n
Growing and managing established locum nursing desks
n
Developing new nursing markets, client accounts and revenue opportunities
n
Recruiting locum nurses for hospitals and aged care facilities
n
Filling urgent shifts and short- and long-term temporary contracts
n
Managing metropolitan, regional, rural and remote placements
n
Building trusted relationships with healthcare organisations and nursing professionals
n
Sourcing, screening and placing suitably qualified clinical professionals
n
Maintaining strong candidate engagement, availability and retention
n




Responding confidently to urgent workforce requirements
n
Identifying opportunities for permanent clinical placements
n
Achieving agreed activity, placement and revenue goals
n
Maintaining accurate recruitment and compliance records
n
Contributing to a collaborative, accountable and high-performing team culture
n

What you'll bring
n
Direct locum nursing recruitment experience is essential for this position.
n
You'll have:
n
n
A successful track record of placing locum nurses in hospitals and aged care facilities
n
Experience managing shift-by-shift requirements and temporary contracts
n
Demonstrated success growing an established recruitment desk
n
Experience developing new markets, desks or client accounts
n
Knowledge of metropolitan, regional, rural and remote nursing placements
n
A strong understanding of the Australian healthcare recruitment market
n
Proven business-development and relationship-management skills
n
Excellent communication, negotiation and organisational abilities
n
A proactive, commercially minded and results-focused approach
n
The confidence to work autonomously while contributing positively to a close-knit team
n
n
Experience recruiting clinical professionals for permanent positions would be highly regarded but is not essential.
