Prospect for a hands on Financial Controller to join a growth focused company

Australian owned, PE backed services business who are going through a growth phase to enable more reach within their customer base.
The role n
The opportunity is within a high-growth, PE-backed Australian business entering its next phase of expansion, with a focus on strengthening financial governance, improving systems and building scalable processes.
n
Reporting to the CFO, the role leads a lean finance team (x4 DR's) and requires a hands on Financial Controller comfortable operating across reporting, audit, compliance, financial operations and process improvement.

Lead the month end and year end close processes
n
Produce accurate and timely financial statements and management reporting
n
Maintain strong financial controls, reconciliations and supporting documentation
n
Manage the annual external audit and act as the key contact for external auditors
n
Ensure statutory, tax and regulatory obligations are met
n
Maintain compliance with accounting standards and internal policies
n
Oversee accounts receivable, accounts payable,



payroll, cash management and bank reconciliations
n
Lead, develop and coach a finance team of approximately six
n
Establish efficient, scalable and well-documented finance processes
n
Improve month-end timelines and minimise audit adjustments
n
Enhance automation and reduce reliance on manual processes
n
Improve finance systems, controls and data quality
n
Identify and resolve operational bottlenecks across the finance function
n
Support general ledger, reporting system and broader technology upgrades
n
Partner closely with the CFO, CEO and senior leadership team
n
Support outsourced and offshore finance arrangements where appropriate
n
Contribute to broader business improvement initiatives
n
Build the financial infrastructure required to support continued growth period of transformation and increased workload
n
To be considered for this role you will need: n

Experience managing an audit end to end in a sub $100m t/o company
n
Have confidence improving and streamlining process
n
Be hands on in your approach
