Key Responsibilities

Develop,implementandevaluatesportsparticipationanddevelopmentprograms

Coordinatejunior,youthandadultparticipationinitiatives
n
Buildandmaintainpartnershipswithschools,communityorganisationsandsportingbodies

Planandcoordinatetrainingcamps,communityclinicsandpromotionalevents
n
Developstrategiestoencourageinclusiveparticipationacrossdiversecommunities
n
Coordinateathletedevelopmentpathwaysfrombeginnertoadvancedlevels
n
Monitorparticipationdataandpreparereportstoevaluateprogramoutcomes
n
Assistwithfundingapplications,sponsorshipproposalsandcommunitypartnershipinitiatives

Coordinateschedulesfordevelopmentprograms,facilitiesandresources
n
Workcloselywithcoachesandprogramstafftoensuresuccessfulprogramdelivery

Promoteacademyprogramsthroughcommunityengagementandmarketingactivities

Assistwiththeplanninganddeliveryoftournaments,competitionsandcommunityevents

Maintainpositiverelationshipswithparticipants,parents,schoolsandcommunitystakeholders

Requirements & Eligibility

BachelorDegreeorhigherqualificationinSportDevelopment,SportsManagement,PhysicalEducation,ExerciseandSportScience,RecreationManagementorarelatedfield
n
Minimumthreeyearsofrelevantpost
-
qualificationexperienceinsportsdevelopment,communitysport,programcoordinationorrecreationmanagement
n
Experiencedevelopingandcoordinatingcommunityparticipationorathletedevelopmentprograms
n
Strongunderstandingofsportsdevelopmentprinciplesandparticipantpathwayprograms
n
Experienceworkingwithschools,sportingorganisationsandcommunitystakeholders
n
Excellentorganisational,communicationandstakeholdermanagementskills
n
Abilitytomanagemultipleprogramsandprojectswhilemeetingdeadlines
n
Strongadministration,reportingandprojectmanagementskills
n
CurrentWorkingwithChildrenCheckorwillingnesstoobtain
n
CurrentFirstAidCertificateisdesirable
n
