Our client is a prominent State Government department dedicated to essential internal operations and community safety.
About the Role
Working 38 hours per week on a contract running from 19/10/2026 to 18/04/2027, you will partner with various business units to deliver vital support and advice across the procurement lifecycle.
You will be responsible for undertaking moderate procurement and contract management activities on behalf of the agency.
Key duties include
Supporting business units to deliver effective outcomes that align with Whole of Government priorities.
Assisting the Manager to provide high-level procurement advice and facilitating procurement planning with key stakeholders.
Preparing procurement planning, specification, sourcing, and evaluation documentation for routine and leveraged projects.
Undertaking detailed market research, market analysis, and market sounding.
Conducting vendor negotiations and coordinating evaluation meetings with stakeholders.
Maintaining effective and efficient hard copy and electronic record management systems.
About You




Efficient time management skills and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively amidst competing demands.
Well-developed written and verbal communication skills, alongside strong negotiation and conflict resolution abilities.
Experience in financial functions and coordinating a wide range of account management tasks.
Proficiency in standard office applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, with SAP experience considered advantageous.
A high level of attention to detail and respect for the confidentiality of sensitive information.
A Procurement Level 1 or 2 purchasing certification (or equivalent) is desirable.
