We are seeking an experienced SMP (Structural, Mechanical & Piping) Supervisor to join our Project Delivery team at theLaverton Mill.
Reporting directly to the Construction Manager, you will play akey role in the successful delivery of major project works,ensuring all SMP activities are executed safely, efficiently, andto the highest quality standards.
This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on supervisor with astrong trade background and proven experience working within anOwner's Team or EPCM environment on large-scale mining orprocessing plant projects. This position is offered as a
fixed-term contract through to Project Completion
,supporting a significant project delivery program at site.
Key Responsibilities
Provide day-to-day supervision of Structural, Mechanicaland Piping (SMP) construction activities.
Oversee and monitor EPC contractor performance to ensureworks are completed safely, on schedule, and in accordance withproject specifications.
Supervise and coordinate BTR subcontractors on site.
Ensure compliance with site safety standards, projectprocedures, and quality requirements.




Review and monitor construction progress against projectschedules.
Identify and resolve construction issues to minimiseimpacts on project delivery.
Participate in inspections, testing, commissioningactivities, and project handovers.
Foster a positive safety culture and lead by example in allaspects of site operations.
Liaise effectively with project stakeholders, contractors,engineers, and site operations personnel.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
Trade qualification in a relevant discipline (Mechanical,Boilermaker/Fabrication or related trade).
Previous experience in an SMP Supervisor role on mining,processing plant, or major resource projects.
Demonstrated experience working within an Owner's Teamand/or EPCM environment.
Strong knowledge of structural steel, mechanical equipmentinstallation, piping systems, and constructionmethodologies.
Proven ability to manage contractor and subcontractorperformance.
Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholderengagement skills.
Sound understanding of safety management systems andquality control requirements.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritiseand coordinate multiple work fronts.
