One of our federal Government clients is seeking to engage Senior Cloud Architect / Cloud Engineer for Canberra location .
n
Client is seeking experienced and motivated Cloud Engineers and/or Architects with a minimum of 5 years' experience to assist with the delivery of various ICT Projects across the CIO Group.
n
Key duties and responsibilities
n
Cloud Engineers and/or Architects will be required to:
n
n
Develop enterprise level cloud platform architectures for MS Azure and M365;
n
Develop high level solution architectures for cloud-based systems;
n
Develop detailed architecture guidance for cloud engineers;
n
Provide impact analysis of user/stakeholder requirements;
n
Ensure that the enterprise and system solutions maintain adherence to whole-of-government standards;
n
Provide technical guidance and input into the design and build of cloud-based systems;
n
Liaise with a cross-functional teams including business owners, scrum masters, business analysts, developers, enterprise architects & testers to produce solutions in accordance with stakeholder requirements and project objectives;
n
Liaise with the department's Service Experience team to ensure architectural decisions incorporate user experience considerations
n
Liaise with ICT Engagement and Enterprise Architecture to ensure alignment to target architectures and technology.
n
Provide expertise and assistance in platform automation - testing, continuous integration and deployment
n
Promote key enterprise architecture principles as applicable to cloud platforms - re-use before buy/build, configure over customise, open data/access over siloed functionality
n
Promote and provide assistance to ensure solutions align with the DTA's Digital Service Standard
n
Be strategic, a leader and influencer.
n
Undertake additional duties as required.

Essential criteria
n
n
1. Cloud experience:



Demonstrated experience in cloud-based solution implementation with technologies including: o Azure App Services, Azure Functions, Azure Logic Apps, Azure SQL, Azure Service Bus and Azure API Management o Azure DevOps for code development, management, repositories, Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD deployments o Microsoft Entra ID, Azure Key Vault, Azure Monitor and Application Insights o Integrating cloud-based systems with third-party systems, including Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM o Azure networking, security and identity management capabilities including Virtual Networks, Private Endpoints and Role Based Access Control

4. Technical Skills: Demonstrated experience 5yrs+ implementing and managing cloud systems and technologies. The Cloud Architect/Engineer will:n
n
Liaise with cross-functional teams to develop and manage enterprise and application-level architectures for MS-Azure.
n
Provide impact analysis and technical guidance in design and development of project work aligned with WoG Standards
n
n
n
Desirable criteria
n
n
1. Demonstrated track record of technical leadership across project and operational tasks
n
2. Demonstrated experience and understanding of cloud-based technologies and architectures
n
3. Demonstrated experience in application and integration, or infrastructure platform architecture.
n
4. Minimum 3 years' experience designing and documenting architectures for large, complex enterprise systems.n
n
Experience with AWS and/or GCP is desirable but not essential.
n
