FGI Developments is seeking an experienced
Licenced Plumber
to join our growing team in Cairns, QLD. This is a
full-time position
based on-site, offering the opportunity to work on a variety of residential and commercial plumbing projects across the region. As a key member of our trades team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality plumbing services whilst maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism. This role is integral to our company's reputation and success in the local market.
Key responsibilities
Install, maintain and repair plumbing systems in residential and commercial properties
Diagnose plumbing problems and develop effective solutions using industry best practices
Read and interpret plumbing plans, blueprints and technical specifications
Ensure all work complies with relevant building codes, standards and regulations
Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on plumbing systems
Provide accurate quotations and communicate with clients regarding work scope and timelines
Maintain tools and equipment in good working order and ensure job sites are kept clean and safe
Work collaboratively with other tradespeople and team members on multi-trade projects
Document work completed and maintain detailed job records
What we're looking for
Current Queensland plumbing licence and right to work in Australia
Minimum 3-5 years' experience as a qualified plumber
Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, materials and installation techniques




Ability to work independently and make sound decisions on-site
Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills
Robust communication and customer service abilities
Physical fitness and ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
Valid driver's licence and reliable transportation
Understanding of workplace health and safety requirements
Willingness to continue professional development and stay current with industry practices
