TRS Resourcing is seeking an experienced Aluminium Welder / Fabricator for a well-established engineering and manufacturing business in Melbourne.
n
This position is suited to a tradesperson with solid experience in MIG welding and fabricating aluminium, who is comfortable working from engineering drawings and takes pride in producing high-quality fabricated assemblies.
n
The role offers consistent full-time hours, overtime opportunities and the potential for ongoing, long-term work.
n
The Role Your Duties Will Include
n
n
MIG welding and fabrication of aluminium components and assemblies
n
Working with medium to heavy-gauge aluminium
n
Reading and interpreting engineering and workshop drawings
n
Measuring, cutting, fitting and assembling fabricated components
n
Working with fabrication jigs and fixtures
n
Completing welds and assemblies to required specifications
n
Maintaining a high standard of workmanship and workshop safety
n
Working independently and as part of an established fabrication team
n

What We're Looking For
n
n
Trade qualification as a Boilermaker, Fabricator or Welder
n
Demonstrated aluminium MIG welding experience
n
Robust fabrication skills
n
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
n
Experience working with aluminium fabricated assemblies
n
Good attention to detail and pride in your workmanship
n
Your own reliable transport
n
Full Australian working rights
n
Two recent employer references
n
n
Experience within heavy fabrication, transport equipment, vehicle body building or similar manufacturing environments will be highly regarded but is not essential.
