Forklift Technician Assistant
to join our Sydney team.
This is an entry-level opportunity for someone who enjoys practical work and wants to build a long-term career in forklift servicing and mechanical maintenance. Previous industry experience is not essential, as comprehensive on-the-job training will be provided.
You will work alongside experienced forklift technicians, gaining practical experience in servicing, inspecting, diagnosing and repairing a wide range of forklifts and material-handling equipment. You will learn by working with real machinery in both our workshop and customer locations.

You will work alongside experienced forklift technicians, gaining practical experience in servicing, inspecting, diagnosing and repairing a wide range of forklifts and material-handling equipment. You will learn by working with real machinery in both our workshop and customer locations.
Key Responsibilities
Assist technicians with forklift servicing, maintenance and repairs
Carry out basic inspections, cleaning and minor mechanical work under supervision
Help identify mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults
Prepare tools, spare parts and equipment for scheduled jobs
Support pre-delivery inspections and equipment testing
Maintain a clean, organised and safe workshop
Accompany senior technicians on field service jobs when required
Follow workplace health and safety procedures at all times




Develop practical knowledge of preventive maintenance and equipment diagnostics
What You Will Learn
Through structured, hands-on training, you will develop skills in:
Forklift servicing and preventive maintenance
Mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems
Fault finding and basic equipment diagnostics
Workshop tools and repair procedures
Field service and customer-site operations
Safe handling of forklifts and material-handling equipment
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
Reliable, punctual and willing to learn
Comfortable working with tools and machinery
Physically fit and able to perform hands-on work
Safety-conscious with good attention to detail
Able to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team
Interested in developing a long-term career in the forklift and machinery industry
Basic mechanical knowledge or experience with forklifts, vehicles, machinery or general tools would be an advantage, but is not essential.
The ability to communicate in Mandarin would also be an advantage.
