Are you an experienced accountant or bookkeeper who understands the world of real estate?
We are looking for an experienced
Accountant / Bookkeeper
to join a growing residential real estate business on Sydney's North Shore.
This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys taking ownership of the numbers and wants to be an important part of a growing business.
Working closely with the Director and management team, you will oversee the day-to-day financial operations of the business, ensuring everything is accurate, organised and running smoothly.
About the role
End-to-end bookkeeping and financial administration
Management of trust accounting and trust compliance
Trust, bank and credit card reconciliations
Accounts payable and receivable
Fortnightly payroll processing, superannuation and PAYG obligations
Processing and recording sales commissions
BAS preparation and liaison with external accountants
Monthly financial reporting, including Profit and Loss statements
Cash flow monitoring and forecasting
Budgeting support and financial planning
Supplier payments and expense management
Preparation of year-end financial information
Maintaining financial controls, compliance and accurate records




Identifying process improvements and efficiencies
About you
Real estate experience is
essential
for this role.
You will have solid experience in:
Residential real estate accounting or bookkeeping
Trust accounting
Payroll
Xero
Reconciliations
Accounts payable and receivable
Real estate commissions and transactions
You will be highly organised, accurate and commercially minded.
You will be someone who takes ownership, notices when something isn't right and doesn't wait to be asked to fix it.
You will also need to be comfortable working independently and communicating financial information clearly to the Director and management team.
The opportunity
This is more than a traditional bookkeeping position.
The business is growing and we are looking for someone who can help strengthen the financial systems of the business, provide greater visibility around performance and become a trusted part of the management team.
4 days per week with flexibility for the right person.
