Storeperson All Rounder - Switchboard Manufacturing
MPE Custom Switchboards Pty Ltd - Smithfield NSW
With guidance from the Production and Factory Floor Managers, you'll keep the warehouse and workshop organised and efficient, and make sure materials, consumables and equipment are on hand to meet production schedules. This role suits someone with good numerical and computer skills, comfortable dealing with people face-to-face and over the phone, and willing to learn the ropes of electrical manufacturing while working closely with staff, tradespeople and apprentices.
Key responsibilities
Receive, check and put away incoming goods
Issue materials and consumables to the factory floor as required
Keep the warehouse organised, tidy and efficient
Complete regular stock takes across the warehouse and factory floor
Schedule and coordinate delivery of switchboards to site with transport companies
Purchase materials, consumables and equipment against project drawings and requirements
Build rapport with suppliers and confidently source the best pricing on raw materials such as sheet metal, copper and switchgear
Liaise with Factory Floor Team Leaders and production/engineering staff on project and consumable requirements
Approve invoices, cross-referencing delivery dockets and negotiated terms
Willingness to learn to read electrical drawings
About you
Experience in a storeman,



warehouse or purchasing role - electrical or manufacturing industry experience an advantage, but not essential
Good numerical and computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word and PDF
Strong attention to detail, time management and multi-tasking ability
Confident liaising face-to-face and over the phone with staff, tradespeople and apprentices
Good communication and record-keeping skills
