We're seeking Casual AOD Support Workers to join our team at Binbi Yadubay Residential Treatment Service, located just outside Rockhampton.
n
Binbi Yadubay, meaning Healthy Beginnings, provides residential withdrawal and rehabilitation services for adults experiencing alcohol and other drug challenges across Central Queensland.
n
You'll play an important role in supporting residents participating in our six-week residential treatment program, helping them build confidence, navigate recovery and work towards a healthier future.
n
We're looking for team members who can provide flexibility across a variety of shifts, including mornings, afternoons, weekends and sleepovers.
n
About the Role
n
As an AOD Support Worker, you'll:
n
n
Support residents throughout their recovery journey.
n
Assist with admissions, discharges and daily activities.
n




Support group activities and community outings.
n
Maintain accurate client notes and handovers.
n
Help create a safe, welcoming and recovery-focused workplace.
n
Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
n
n
About You
n
You are compassionate, reliable and committed to helping people achieve positive change.
n
You'll bring:
n
n
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
n
A non-judgemental and person-centred approach.
n
Emotional maturity and the ability to remain calm in challenging situations.
n
Experience in, or a genuine interest in building a career within, the Alcohol and Other Drugs sector.
n
Current Australian Driver Licence.
n
Ability to obtain a National Police Check.
n
First Aid and CPR certification, or willingness to obtain.
n
Hold, be working towards, or be willing to obtain a Certificate IV in Alcohol and Other Drugs, Mental Health, Community Services or a related field.
n
Availability to work weekends and sleepover shifts.
n
