Job Description
We're looking for an experienced Senior HSEQ Advisor to join our Mackay team and play a key role in strengthening our safety culture, supporting operational teams and driving continuous improvement across HSEQ.

The Opportunity
n
As a Senior HSEQ Advisor, you'll work closely with operational leaders and workers to promote a proactive safety culture and ensure HSEQ standards are consistently maintained.
n
You'll provide practical advice, coaching and support across a range of HSEQ initiatives, while identifying opportunities to improve safety performance, compliance and operational outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
n

Support the development and implementation of HSEQ strategic and tactical plans.
n
Coach and mentor operational teams on HSEQ processes, tools and responsibilities.
n
Support consultation and participation processes across the business.
n
Develop and review risk assessments, procedures and Safe Work Procedures with Operations.
n
Conduct workplace inspections and internal audits, supporting external audits where required.
n
Deliver HSEQ training and support teams with tools including risk assessments and Permit to Work.
n
Lead critical incident investigations and support other incident investigations as required.
n
Develop HSE Alerts and share key learnings to drive continuous improvement.
n
Analyse HSEQ trends and statistics and report on key performance indicators.
n
Support initiatives focused on preventing workplace injuries, illness and environmental incidents.
n
Attend HSEQ, toolbox and customer meetings as required.

About You
n
We're looking for an experienced HSEQ professional who can build strong relationships across operational environments and provide practical, solutions-focused advice.
n
n




Minimum 5 years' experience in a generalist HSEQ role, preferably within transport or logistics.
n
Strong experience conducting and leading incident investigations.
n
Sound knowledge of WHS legislation, Chain of Responsibility, road safety and environmental requirements.
n
Solid communication and report writing skills.
n
The ability to manage competing priorities and work through complex operational challenges.
n
A proactive approach to identifying risks and implementing practical solutions.
n
Strong coaching and influencing skills, with the ability to engage effectively with workers and leaders at all levels.
