This is an Aboriginal Identified role.

About the role
With your experience, cultural authority and commitment to community, you can help shape how alcohol and other drug services support Aboriginal people across NSW.
The Manager, Alcohol and other Drugs (AOD) Aboriginal Health Outcomes Transformation Supports the delivery of strategic priorities that improve AOD health outcomes for Aboriginal people across NSW.
The role leads the implementation of transformation initiatives, partnerships and management of evidence based, strategic initiatives that drive NSW Health's commitment to ensuring Aboriginal people have access to holistic and culturally safe services that provide the best opportunity for improved health and social and emotional wellbeing outcomes.
The role also provides leadership and supervision to project staff and contributes specialist expertise in public sector policy, governance and program management to achieve strategic reform outcomes.

What you'll be doing
Lead strategic initiatives that improve Aboriginal AOD health outcomes across NSW.
Provide expert advice to support evidence-based policy,
programs and system reform.
Drive collaboration and build strong partnerships between NSW Health, Aboriginal communities, Local Health Districts, Government agencies and key stakeholders in the health sector.
Support the Aboriginal Health Outcomes Transformation team to deliver high-quality programs and strategic priorities.
Drive effective governance, performance and accountability across funded initiatives.
About you:
We are seeking a motivated and committed Aboriginal leader who brings:
Strong cultural knowledge, lived experience and/or community connections.
Experience leading strategic policy, programs, services or workforce initiatives in complex environments.
Proven ability to build partnerships and work respectfully across Aboriginal communities and stakeholder settings.
Confidence using evidence, community knowledge and lived experience to influence policy, system reform dn decision making.
A strong commitment to cultural safety, self-determination and improving outcomes for Aboriginal people.

In your response, outline how you have provided specialist advice informed by Aboriginal cultural knowledge and an understanding of Aboriginal community priorities, and the outcomes achieved.

Provide an example of how you have analysed and applied a range of evidence sources (such as data,
evaluation findings, community knowledge and/or lived experience) to inform policy, strategy or service design and influence system change, preferably in an Aboriginal health or Aboriginal affairs context. Describe your approach and the impact of your work.
