About the Role
This is a hands-on, entry-level opportunity for a motivated all-rounder who enjoys a wide-ranging, practical role. The position is combination role focused on the physical management of stock and equipment, including receiving, storing, picking, packing and maintaining inventory.
The administrative and customer service responsibilities support the day-to-day district and stores function, helping ensure orders are processed, inventory records are accurate and members receive the equipment and service they need.
Working within the emergency services sector, you'll be part of a supportive team while developing practical experience across stores, inventory management, administration and customer service.

Key responsibilities include:
- Providing high-quality customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
- Stores duties inclusive of stock management, lifting
15kg, receipting incoming goods, picking and packing outgoing items, labelling & tracking.
- Warehouse and logistics including PPC/E management, order collation dispatch and repairs.
- Liaising with suppliers to obtain quotes and coordinate purchasing requirements.
- Maintaining and updating stores and financial information within CFA systems including SAP and RMS
- Adhoc administrative and office support duties.
- On occasion coordinating meetings including scheduling, agenda preparation, venue bookings and catering requirements.
- Records administration and data entry.
- Database and systems coordination.
- Accounts payable administration.
- Building effective working relationships with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders.
- Participating in Incident Management support roles appropriate to experience and qualifications.
About You
You are enthusiastic, motivated and eager to learn, with strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail. You will enjoy working in a fast-paced team environment and be comfortable managing a variety of tasks.
Experience with stores, warehousing or inventory management functions is critical and previous administration experience is desirable. You will also demonstrate:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Sound computer and data entry skills.
- The ability to work proactively with minimal supervision.
