About the Role

As a Project Manager you will form an integral part of the CARAS team and receive guidance and mentoring from highly experienced senior staff whilst also being able to act and work independently and with the assistance of junior staff. Typical duties will include:

- Manage a portfolio of projects, running some independently and others with the support of assistant project managers.

- Report to and collaborate closely with Senior Project Managers and the Head of Project Management.

- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

- Work closely with clients, stakeholders, contractors and consultants to achieve project objectives.





- Prepare and present project documentation, including project delivery plans, risk assessments, meeting minutes, progress reports, RFT packages, inspection reports and the like.

- Drive project success by ensuring alignment with client requirements and industry best practices.

- Foster strong, long-lasting relationships with clients and stakeholders to enhance repeat business opportunities.

- Coordinate and manage tender processes, consultants and contractors’ selection, and contract administration (good knowledge of the different types of contracts used in the construction industry - AS4000 & AS4902 preferred).

- Monitor and enforce compliance with relevant regulations and standards.

- Manage WHS, Quality Assurance and Environmental Assurance across all project phases

- Identify and manage project risks while proactively resolving issues to maintain project momentum.

- Undertake inspections and record construction progress on site

- Liaise with Local, and State Level government agencies

- Contribute to business development efforts by participating in the preparation of proposals and tenders.

Skills & Experience Required

We would expect you to have developed the following skills and experience:





- 3 to 6 years as Client-side Project Manager (Mandatory)

- Degree/Qualification in Project Management, Civil Engineering, Construction Management

- Solid knowledge and understanding of the project management processes and all project lifecycle phases.

- Strong organisational and leadership skills, with experience in mentoring or supervising a small team.

- Proficiency in multidisciplinary design management

- Excellent level of communication, both verbal and written, and stakeholder management abilities

- Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g. MS suite, MS Project, etc).

- Adaptability & ability to think outside the box

- A proactive attitude with the ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a team environment.

- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

- Full working rights in Australia and a valid NSW driver’s licence.
