Lead the team. Get hands-on

Rapid Crushing is looking for an experienced Fabrication Leading Hand to join our busy fabrication team at our Maddington workshop.

This is a great opportunity for a trade-qualified Boilermaker/Fabricator with proven leadership experience who enjoys mentoring a team, coordinating workshop activities and delivering high-quality fabrication work — while still being hands-on on the tools.

You'll play a key role in supporting the Rapid Group's mobile and fixed crushing operations across Australia, working on major fabrication, maintenance, repair and rebuild projects.

?️ THE ROLE

As our Fabrication Leading Hand, you'll:

- Lead, mentor and support a team of Boilermakers and Apprentices

- Coordinate daily workshop activities with the Workshop Manager

- Help keep projects on schedule while maintaining high standards of safety and quality

- Lead by example and remain actively involved in fabrication and welding

- Carry out general fabrication and structural welding

- Complete heavy mobile plant fabrication, modifications, repairs and rebuilds

- Fabricate conveyor systems, fixed and mobile crushers, and screening equipment

- Ensure completed work meets project specifications and quality standards

- Promote a strong, positive safety culture across the workshop

? WHAT YOU'LL BRING
Essential

- Australian-recognised Boilermaker Trade Qualification

- Demonstrated experience working as a Leading Hand





- Current Australian Driver's Licence

- National Police Clearance

- Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills

- A genuine commitment to safety, quality and getting the job done right

Desirable

- Rigging & Dogging tickets

- High Risk Forklift Licence

- Overhead Crane experience
