Your Opportunity

Are you a passionate Secondary Teacher who is committed to inspiring young people and creating engaging learning experiences?

We are seeking an experienced and qualified Secondary Teacher – Visual Arts to join our team in a permanent part-time position working 5.5 hours per day, 2 days per week (Thursday and Friday) teaching students across Years 7 to 12.

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a supportive and collaborative Secondary team while delivering high-quality teaching and learning, with a particular focus on Visual Arts.

Your Role

- Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality Visual Arts learning experiences aligned with the Australian Curriculum and QCAA requirements.
- Create opportunities for students to explore, experience and develop their creative thinking and artistic skills.
- Use assessment and student data to inform teaching, monitor progress and provide meaningful feedback.
- Differentiate learning and use inclusive teaching practices to support the needs of diverse learners.
- Create a secure, positive and engaging learning environment that promotes student wellbeing, participation and achievement.
- Contribute to curriculum planning, assessment, moderation and reporting processes.
- Build positive and respectful relationships with students, families and colleagues.
- Collaborative with colleagues across the faculty and wider Secondary team to support excellent teaching and learning.
- Participate in pastoral care and contribute to the broacher co-curricular life of the College.

About You

You are an enthusiastic and creative educator who enjoys inspiring young people and helping them discover their individual strengths and artistic potential.

You will bring:

- A practising Christian faith and a commitment to actively supporting and promoting the College's Christian ethos.
- Experience teaching Visual Arts within a Secondary school setting.
- Strong knowledge of the Australian Curriculum, QCAA requirements and contemporary assessment practices.
- The ability to design engaging and purposeful learning experiences while maintaining high expectations for student learning and achievement.
- Strong interpersonal, communication and classroom management skills.
- A collaborative approach and a commitment to ongoing professional learning and growth.
- A Bachelor of Education or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Current registration with the Queensland College of Teachers (QCT), or the ability to obtain registration.
