MBC Group Services is looking for a motivated Graduate Accountant who is ready to put their studies into practice and establish a strong foundation for their accounting career.

You’ll gain broad, hands-on experience from the outset while working alongside experienced accountants and Client Services Managers. From tax returns and BAS through to financial accounts, management reporting and client support, you’ll develop practical skills across a broad range of accounting work as your knowledge and confidence grow.

We’re looking for someone who is curious, organised and keen to learn. You’ll be supported to strengthen your technical knowledge, become more confident working with clients and gain a solid understanding of the systems and processes behind quality accounting work.

Your Role
As part of the Accounting team, you’ll support experienced accountants and Client Services Managers while building your technical knowledge and gaining practical experience across a broad range of accounting work.



Your responsibilities will include:

- Assisting with personal tax returns and BAS preparation
- Supporting the preparation of company, partnership and trust accounts and tax returns
- Helping with basic reporting, research and data analysis
- Gathering information and assisting with client queries
- Supporting Senior Accountants and Client Services Managers with day-to-day accounting work
- Learning to manage your workload, priorities and deadlines
- Building your understanding of accounting standards, taxation requirements and compliance processes
- Developing confidence using accounting systems and digital tools

What We’re Looking For

- Recent or Soon-to-Be Graduate: You’ve completed, or are nearing completion of, a Commerce, Business or Accounting degree with an Accounting major.
- Strong Attention to Detail: You take pride in producing accurate, high-quality work.
- Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: You enjoy working through information and finding practical solutions.
- Strong Communication Skills: You’re confident communicating with others and enjoy working as part of a team.
- Organised & Self-Motivated: You can manage priorities, take ownership and are keen to learn.
- Tech-Savvy Mindset: You’re comfortable using digital tools and keen to develop your skills across systems such as Excel, Xero and ATO platforms.
- Career Focused: You’re interested in building a long-term career in accounting and working towards your CA or CPA qualification.
