We are currently looking for a motivated 1st Year Electrical Apprentice to join our team and start their career in the electrical industry.

This is an opportunity to learn from experienced electricians while gaining hands-on experience across a broad range of electrical and infrastructure works.

We’re not looking for someone who already knows everything — we’re looking for someone with the right attitude, a genuine interest in the trade and a willingness to listen, learn and give things a go.

The Role

As a 1st Year Electrical Apprentice, you will work alongside our experienced tradespeople and gradually develop the practical skills and knowledge required to become a qualified electrician.

Your responsibilities will include:

· Assisting electricians with day-to-day electrical works

· Learning to safely use electrical tools and equipment

· Assisting with the installation of electrical infrastructure, cabling and equipment

· Learning to read plans, drawings and job instructions

· Preparing tools, materials and equipment for jobs

· Keeping vehicles, equipment and work areas clean and organised

· Following safety procedures, SWMS and instructions from supervisors

· Attending and completing your required TAFE training

· Taking an active role in learning and developing your skills

Essential Requirements

· Completed Year 12

· Current drivers licence / provisional drivers licence





· Genuine interest in becoming an electrician and building a career in the electrical trade

· Good maths skills and results at school

· Reliable and willing to turn up on time and ready to work

· Positive attitude and willingness to learn

· Willing to listen and follow instructions

· Comfortable asking questions when you are unsure

· Willing to give new tasks a go and learn from mistakes

· Able to work as part of a team

· Safety-conscious and willing to follow workplace procedures

· Able to provide references - from school, previous employment or work experience

Highly Regarded

· Strong results in maths or technical subjects

· Previous work experience, school-based work placement or exposure to the electrical or construction industry

· White Card

· Any previous hands-on, mechanical or trade-related experience
