Civil Engineer – Client-Side Infrastructure Projects
Location: South Brisbane / Scenic Rim Region, QLD

We are partnering with a specialist engineering consultancy seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to support the delivery of a significant pipeline of infrastructure projects for local government.
This role provides engineering and project support directly on behalf of council, with a strong focus on Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements (DRFA) projects and civil infrastructure recovery works.

We are specifically seeking an engineer with existing client-side experience working for a council, government body, engineering consultancy in a client-side capacity, or similar organisation.

Working closely with council stakeholders, contractors and delivery partners, you will provide technical and project management support across a range of civil infrastructure programs.
Your responsibilities will include:

- Providing client-side engineering support across council infrastructure programs
- Undertaking site inspections, condition assessments and damage assessments
- Preparing scopes of work, cost estimates and technical documentation
- Reviewing designs, contractor submissions and project deliverables
- Managing projects through planning,



design and construction phases
- Coordinating contractors, consultants and other project stakeholders
- Monitoring project progress, budgets and reporting requirements
- Supporting DRFA funding processes and associated project documentation
- Providing technical advice and engineering recommendations to council stakeholders

You will ideally have:

- A degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
- Demonstrated previous experience working in a client-side capacity
- Experience working directly with councils, government agencies or asset owners
- Experience across roads, drainage, flood recovery or broader civil infrastructure
- Exposure to DRFA-funded projects will be highly regarded
- Strong understanding of project scope, cost, risk and delivery requirements
- Solid stakeholder management and communication skills
- Experience managing and reviewing contractor performance and deliverables
- A practical and solutions-focused approach
- Current Australian Driver’s Licence
