About the role

VitalCore Support Services is looking for casual support workers in Warner and the surrounding North Brisbane suburbs to support a person living with dementia in their own home.

This is one on one support where consistency matters. You will become a familiar, trusted face, helping them stay protected, comfortable and connected, and supporting them to live as independently as possible.

What you'll be doing

- Personal care delivered with dignity, including showering, dressing, grooming and continence support

- Preparing meals, prompting fluids and supporting medication as set out in the care plan

- Light household tasks such as cleaning and laundry, and keeping the home safe and familiar

- Meaningful activities, conversation and outings in the community

- Calm reassurance and redirection through confusion, anxiety or late afternoon restlessness

- Noticing and reporting changes in health, mood or behaviour

- Keeping family and the care team in the loop and writing clear shift notes

What we're looking for

- Experience supporting people living with dementia, in aged care, disability or home care





- Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing or Disability), or equivalent experience

- Patience, warmth and a gentle, unhurried approach

- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check (must be cleared before your first shift)

- Current First Aid and CPR

- Full driver's licence and a reliable, insured vehicle

- Valid Australian work rights

What we offer

- $39 to $45 per hour, paid weekly

- Casual employment under the SCHADS Award. This is an employed role, not ABN or contractor

- Full induction and dementia specific training before your first shift

- Refresher training every two months and monthly group supervision with a clinical psychologist

- Regular shifts with the same person, so you can build a genuine relationship
