About the role

Reporting to the General Manager – Infrastructure & Logistics, the Manager of Business Planning leads Bravus' integrated business planning and investment-governance activities across strategic, life-of-asset, medium-term, budget and forecast horizons.

You'll convert enterprise strategy, operational inputs and commercial assumptions into practical, risk-aware and value-focused plans. As a trusted adviser to senior leaders, you'll integrate technical, operational, financial and commercial perspectives, test scenarios and investment choices, and produce clear recommendations, governance submissions and performance insights.

The role can be based in Brisbane, Townsville or Rockhampton, with regular travel to our operations and project locations, and includes leadership of one direct report.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the integrated business planning cycle across strategic, long-range, medium-term, annual budget and rolling forecast horizons, translating corporate strategy into clear business priorities, operating plans and decision points
- Coordinate planning inputs across operations, projects, finance, commercial, technical services, SHEC, sustainability, risk, digital and people functions into one coherent enterprise plan
- Develop and challenge production, cost, capital and workforce forecasts, identifying variances, risks and value-capture opportunities
- Lead scenario analysis, portfolio trade-offs and capital prioritisation to support value-based investment decisions
- Govern the development of business cases, investment approval papers, and executive and Board submissions
- Provide assurance over planning quality, data integrity and consistent application of planning standards, and monitor KPIs, milestones and leading indicators to drive timely corrective action
- Facilitate planning,



risk and investment workshops and build enterprise planning capability through clear processes, coaching, templates and continuous improvement

About You

- Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, finance, economics, project management or a related discipline
- Significant experience in business planning, strategy, asset planning, major projects or investment governance within mining, energy, infrastructure or another asset-intensive environment
- Demonstrated experience leading long-term planning, budgeting, forecasting, scenario analysis, business-case development and performance reporting
- Solid commercial and financial acumen, with the ability to turn complex information into clear recommendations on value, capital choices, risks and trade-offs
- Experience preparing materials for senior leadership, executive committees and Boards, with strong people leadership, stakeholder influence, executive writing and facilitation skills in complex, matrixed environments
