Senior Quality Coordinator

Help Drive Quality Across Major Precast and Infrastructure Projects

Evolution Precast is a leading manufacturer of large, complex precast concrete elements, delivering major infrastructure, commercial, industrial and construction projects across NSW, QLD and VIC.

Due to continued growth and a strong project pipeline, we are looking for an experienced Senior Quality Coordinator to join our operations team.

This is a hands on role suited to someone who understands the complexities of precast concrete manufacturing and can confidently work across engineering, production and quality to ensure products meet project specifications, Australian Standards and client requirements.

An engineering background is preferred, particularly Civil or Structural Engineering, along with solid experience in precast concrete, concrete manufacturing or a similar construction environment.

About the Role

Reporting to the Quality Manager, the Senior Quality Coordinator will play a key role in managing quality assurance and quality control across the manufacturing operation.

You will work closely with engineering and production teams to oversee inspections, quality documentation, compliance and non conformances from the early stages of production through to final product release.

You will also be involved in identifying opportunities to improve processes, strengthen quality outcomes and ensure products are delivered right first time.

This is an opportunity to take ownership of quality across complex precast projects and have a genuine impact on how quality is managed across the operation.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead quality inspections throughout the manufacturing process

• Review drawings, specifications and project requirements to ensure compliance

• Inspect reinforcement, dimensions, finishes, cast ins and other critical elements prior to pour

• Coordinate pre pour,



hold point and final product inspections

• Identify, investigate and manage defects and non conformances

• Work with production and engineering teams to implement corrective actions

• Review repair requirements and ensure completed repairs meet required standards

• Maintain quality records, inspection documentation and project quality reports

• Monitor compliance with Australian Standards, project specifications and client requirements

• Support internal and external audits and quality assurance activities

• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing and quality processes

• Provide guidance and support to production teams on quality requirements

• Assist with maintaining and improving the company's Quality and Integrated Management Systems

About You

You are an experienced quality professional who understands that quality in precast is about much more than paperwork.

You are comfortable working on the factory floor, reviewing drawings, inspecting complex concrete elements and having conversations with production and engineering teams when something is not right.

You are practical, detail focused and confident making decisions around quality and compliance.

Most importantly, you understand precast concrete manufacturing and the quality requirements associated with large and complex concrete elements.

Skills and Experience

• Experience in a senior quality, quality engineering or quality coordination role





• Strong experience in precast concrete or concrete manufacturing is essential

• Experience with online platforms for QA reporting, SharePoint, Excel, and other Microsoft platforms.

• An understanding of document control, filing structures and protocols.

• Experience working with large or complex precast concrete elements is highly desirable

• Engineering qualification, preferably Civil, Structural or Mechanical Engineering

• Strong understanding of concrete manufacturing, reinforcement and casting processes

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications and technical documentation

• Understanding of relevant Australian Standards and project quality requirements

• Experience managing non conformances, corrective actions and repair processes

• Strong understanding of quality assurance and quality control principles

• Experience working within ISO 9001 quality systems and an Integrated Management System

• Robust communication skills and the ability to work effectively with production and engineering teams

• High level of attention to detail with a practical approach to problem solving
