- You will process court orders, warrants and sentence records that support safe corrections.
- You will work with detailed records where accuracy matters every day.
- You will build strong skills in legislation, records and correctional processes.
- You will help ensure people are held or released in line with the law.
- Fixed-Term (12 months), full-time role earning $81,496 - $98,955 per year, plus super.

What you will do

As records officer, you will process legal records for people in custody.

You will work across a busy team that supports accurate sentences and releases.

You will:

- process accurate warrants, court orders, discharges and sentence calculations.
- process sentences for people received into Corrections Victoria custody.
- maintain accurate and up-to-date records across information systems and databases.
- provide clear advice on sentence calculations, laws and quality controls.
- suggest practical ways to improve work processes, quality and service.

About you

No mandatory qualification is required for this role. You should understand how complex work can operate within legislation.

You should understand how laws affect daily work and decisions. You should also work well with others, solve problems and use digital systems with confidence.

You should also have:

- strong knowledge of complex work settings that involve legislation.
- flexibility to manage changing priorities and work with different teams.
- critical thinking skills to understand issues and find practical solutions.
- transparent communication and teamwork skills that support respectful and inclusive workplaces.
