The Role

We’re looking for a Production Supervisor to join our team and help us take our production to the next level!

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who cares deeply about people, machinery, quality, food safety and doing things well. You’ll be a visible presence on the production floor, leading the team day-to-day, overseeing machinery and highly repetitive production processes, and making sure we’re meeting our targets while maintaining our high standards.

We’re also entering an exciting period of growth. Over the next 12 months, we’re working towards moving into a new, larger site in the Byron area, with increased production capacity and larger-scale chocolate manufacturing equipment. This role will play an important part in helping us prepare for and transition into that next stage.

What you’ll do

Working closely with the Production Manager and Quality team, you’ll help keep our production running safely, smoothly and efficiently.

Your days will include:

- Leading and supporting our Production Team Leads and wider production team, creating a culture of accountability, care and collaboration.

- Being a hands-on presence on the production floor, overseeing day-to-day production activities, machinery and team performance.

- Ensuring machinery is operated safely, correctly and efficiently, and escalating maintenance or equipment issues when required.

- Overseeing production lines and highly repetitive tasks, ensuring team members remain focused, engaged and consistent while maintaining quality and safety standards.

- Making sure daily and weekly production targets are met across volume, quality and efficiency.





- Monitoring production performance and KPIs, identifying opportunities to improve and taking action when things aren’t on track.

- Supporting production planning and labour scheduling, helping identify bottlenecks, risks and resource constraints before they become problems.

- Ensuring our food safety, quality, GMP, HACCP and WHS standards are consistently upheld.

- Investigating quality issues and non-conformances, getting to the root cause and putting preventative measures in place.

- Making sure SOPs, work instructions and standardised ways of working are understood and followed - and helping improve them when there’s a better way.

- Coaching, training and developing team members, building capability and helping people perform repetitive work safely, accurately and consistently.

- Ensuring cleaning, sanitation and production documentation is completed accurately and consistently.

- Maintaining accurate production and inventory data in DEAR.

- Working collaboratively with the Production Manager and wider team to improve factory efficiency, cost of goods, training and engagement.

- Supporting the HACCP team with ongoing compliance, audits and corrective actions.

- Contributing to the planning and implementation of our future production site, including the transition towards larger-scale machinery and increased production capacity.

- Being a positive, calm and visible leader on the floor - someone the team can rely on.

What we’re looking for

You’ll ideally bring:

- 3+ years’ experience in a HACCP and GMP/GHP-certified food manufacturing environment.

- Experience leading or supervising a production team in a hands-on setting.

- Experience working directly with production machinery, equipment and production lines.

- An understanding of how to maintain safety, quality and consistency when managing repetitive, high-volume production processes.

- A strong understanding of food safety, quality, GMP, HACCP and WHS.

- A Food Safety Supervisor Certificate, or willingness to obtain one.

- Experience working with SOPs, standardised work and continuous improvement.

- Confidence working with production data and inventory systems.

- Strong organisational skills and an ability to stay calm and practical when things get busy.

- An interest in, or experience with,



scaling production and introducing new equipment or processes would be highly regarded.

Over the next 12 months, we’re working towards a move into a new site within the Byron area, giving us significantly more space and capacity to support our next phase of growth. The new facility will allow us to introduce larger chocolate-making machinery and more scalable production processes.

This means the role will evolve with the business. You’ll have the opportunity to help shape how we work today while contributing to how our production operates tomorrow - from refining SOPs and developing people, through to preparing the team and systems for larger-scale equipment and increased output.
