About the role

We are seeking an experienced Liquor Store Manager to lead our store operations in North Sydney on a full-time basis. This is a position responsible for the overall management, performance and profitability of the store. As Store Manager, you will oversee all aspects of store operations, from staff management and inventory control to customer service excellence and sales performance. This role is pivotal in ensuring the store delivers on our brand promise and achieves its business objectives.

Key responsibilities

- Manage all day-to-day store operations, ensuring smooth and efficient functioning of the liquor retail environment

- Lead, train, motivate and develop a high-performing team of staff members

- Monitor and control stock levels, placing orders and managing inventory to minimise waste and maximise availability

- Implement visual merchandising strategies and maintain an attractive, well-organised store environment

- Achieve and exceed sales targets and key performance indicators through effective sales strategies and customer engagement. The amount is paid bi-annually after the completion of Q2 and Q4 of the financial calendar year.

- Ensure compliance with all relevant liquor licensing laws, regulations and company policies

- Manage the store budget, control costs and maximise profitability

- Deliver exceptional customer service and resolve customer queries and complaints professionally

- Liaise with head office regarding store performance, market trends and business opportunities

- Maintain health,



safety and security standards within the store

What we're looking for

- Proven experience as a Store Manager or in a similar retail management position, preferably in the liquor, beverage or hospitality sector

- Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams

- Demonstrated track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets and profitability goals

- Comprehensive knowledge of liquor products, including wines, spirits and other beverages

- Thorough understanding of liquor licensing laws and responsible service of alcohol practices

- Excellent customer service skills and ability to build strong customer relationships

- Proficiency in retail management systems and point-of-sale technology

- Strong organisational and time management abilities with attention to detail

- Ability to work flexibly, including weekends and public holidays as required by retail operations

- Current or willingness to obtain relevant retail qualifications or certifications

- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
