Location: Canning Vale, WA - relocating to Rockingham in early 2027

About the Company

Our client is a well-established engineering and manufacturing organisation with over 50 years of experience designing and manufacturing specialised drilling equipment and components. With a strong reputation for quality, safety and reliability, they supply high-quality products to clients across the mining and resources sector.

As the business continues to grow, they are seeking an experienced Welder / Fabricator to join their busy workshop team.

Please note: The business will relocate to the Rockingham area in early 2027, so applicants must be willing to relocate or already live within a reasonable distance of the new site.

The Role

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Welder / Fabricator to join a supportive workshop environment, working Monday to Friday with overtime available.

Key responsibilities:

- Welding and fabricating specialised drilling equipment and components

- Welding on rotators using solid MIG wire

- Producing high-quality, continuous welds to required standards

- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications

- Working to required tolerances and quality standards

- Completing work orders and recording time accurately

- Maintaining a clean, safe and organised workshop

- Working collaboratively with team leaders, engineering and other departments

- Assisting with other workshop duties as required

What We're Looking For

To succeed in this role, you will ideally have:

- Proven experience in welding and fabrication

- Experience welding on rotators using solid MIG wire





- Ability to read and interpret technical/engineering drawings

- Experience welding to AS1554 standards

- Solid attention to detail and commitment to quality

- Experience with OEM drill rigs or drilling equipment components (highly desirable)

- Strong safety awareness and a reliable, proactive approach

- Ability to pass a DAS and pre-employment medical

- Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency

- Willingness to relocate to Rockingham or live within a reasonable distance of the new site
